My expertise in corporate governance, effective board practice and strategy in particular is acknowledged internationally.
I've helped boards and directors in many different countries pursue better outcomes; offering insightful guidance founded on deep knowledge, critical enquiry and practical boardroom experience. These contributions have proven to be invaluable to the prosperity of a wide range of companies and social enterprises—especially in the professional services, high technology, agribusiness, logistics and distribution, healthcare and local government sectors.
Enquiries from boards and directors seeking assistance to realise the full potential of the firms or social enterprises they govern are most welcome. I am available globally.

Future of the Board initiative
In 2017, I was appointed chair of the Future of the Board, a global initiative dedicated to getting to the root of some of the problems that beset boards, and to producing rigorous guidance boards can embrace to achieve better outcomes. An advisory panel of 24 international experts is being assembled to oversee the initiative, a two-year programme of research and conference-style events. The insights and recommendations that are expected to emerge will be published as a series of articles and booklets. The initiative will be launched in London on 13 March 2018.
