Peter's professional credentials include Chartered Membership of the Institute of Directors (CMInstD), and membership of several international institutes and academies including the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN), the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) and the European Academy of Management (EURAM).
His academic credentials were awarded by Massey University, where he was a Massey Scholar. These include Bachelor of Technology (first-class honours), Post-graduate Certificate in Business and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. His doctorate thesis is entitled Understanding corporate governance, strategic management and firm performance: As evidenced from the boardroom.
Outside his work with boards and directors, Peter enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading history, serving in the local community and, when time allows, pursuing his interest in classic cars and road cycling. He lives in Whitby, New Zealand, with his wife. They have three adult children.
