Hello, my name is Peter Crow. I'm a company director, advisor and speaker with acknowledged expertise in corporate governance, board effectiveness and strategy, and an extensive record of service to boards, internationally.
My board experience includes director, trustee and chair appointments; principally of privately-held and high-growth companies, family firms and social enterprises:
I have advised thousands of boards and directors of privately-held and publicly-listed companies, government agencies, family firms and social enterprises. Contributions informed by deep knowledge, broad business and boardroom experience, innate curiosity and a strategic mindset have proved invaluable to the fortunes of a wide range of enterprises, globally.
I also deliver director development courses, masterclasses, and graduate programmes; to build capability and equip the next generation of directors. Here's a selection:
For more information, check the QuarryGroup website. I am available globally.
I have made keynote, panelist and after dinner contributions at business and academic conferences, industry seminars, award ceremonies and dinner events; across the United Kingdom and Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Commonly requested topics include the characteristics of high performing boards, the board's role in strategy and business success, the board–CEO nexus, and insights from board/company failures, as well as emerging trends and practical insights from recent research. However, the breadth of my general knowledge provides the credibility to accept invitations to discuss a wide range of business and social topics.
Audience members have generously used terms such as 'eloquent', 'authoritative', 'insightful' and 'deft communicator' to describe my contributions. I prefer a more straightforward term: a storyteller.
Here's an example of me speaking. To learn more, and check my availability to share insights or contribute to the success of your event, contact me today.
My credentials include a PhD in corporate governance and strategy (a pioneering study explaining how boards can influence company performance); a first in technology and management; chartered membership of the Institute of Directors; and memberships of several institutions including the International Corporate Governance Network, the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management and the Peter Drucker Society.
I enjoy relaxing with family, reading history, and pursuing interests in classic cars and road cycling. My wife and I live in New Zealand; we have three adult children.
