I'm seated at Heathrow, homebound after a busy week attending the ICSA: The Governance Institute annual conference in London, and a bevy of other commitments. The following comments reflect on two busy days spent at the ICSA conference. The intention is not to provide comprehensive reportage, but rather to bring forward notable points (from my perspective anyway!). As always, please feel free to get in touch if you have a question or would like more information.
Overall, the conference provided a valuable forum for company directors, secretaries and others who support the work of boards to learn, compare notes and meet others in similar situations. Please contact me if would like more information.

Thanks Peter for the excellent summary from the conference. As a Past NZ President of ICSA I was particularly interested to note the strong attendance and the focus on governance. We are also in the U.K. - been here for 2 months and enjoying the drama of the elections, Brexit and company news. You are correct it is a dynamic environment and the pace of challenges keep building. As you know from experience governance requires a total focus on the key levers of the business-not a job for the faint hearted.

Thanks Peter for these reflections. Glad you enjoyed the conference - this really was our best ICSA annual conference (and I am not just saying that!). I heard very good feedback from colleagues at your session (for which many thanks). I am really sorry that our paths did not cross over the two days.

Thank you Simon, appreciate your public statement of support. Apart from greeting you at the beginning of the first day, I decided to leave you alone—you had a big conference to oversee and many other seemed to be vying for your attention. Look forward to catching up with you again later in the year.
